Includes a craft beer or refreshment at FINNEY'S at the White House!
Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour through Laguna's quaint downtown. Starting at the Festival Grounds, we'll trace the evolution of this famous art colony from the early 1900s to the present day. You'll learn why the first settlers planted eucalyptus trees, and how the early plein air artists established their first studios. As we explore the highlights of downtown, we will see famous sculpture gardens, historic buildings, murals and public art. As we pass City Hall, we'll learn about the creation of the Laguna Greenbelt and how the town rallied to preserve thousands of acres of open space. On lower Forest Ave., we'll study efforts by the City to create a permanent pedestrian street. On Main Beach, we'll study efforts to preserve marine life and discuss how the City has preserved a village atmosphere despite thousands of daily visitors. You'll learn about the most famous Laguna personalities and how they left their mark on this wonderful art colony. We'll end the tour with a complementary craft beer at Laguna's newest restaurant - Finney's at the White House.
