PACIFIC COAST ART DECO TOUR

The Queen Mary, Maritime Museum and Huntington Pier

"Treasures Along the Coast"

Thursday, Aug. 15: 8:45 AM - 4:30 PM - $98

Summer's the time to explore our beautiful coast for some Art Deco treasures! We'll start the day with a 90-minute guided tour of the famous Queen Mary oceanliner. Longer than the Titanic and built in Scotland, the Queen has some of the most beautiful Art Deco designs on the West Coast. You'll love the stories about the "Ship of Woods" and "Grey Ghost". Following the tour, you'll have time to explore the Queen and have lunch on your own at the Promenade Cafe. Leaving the Queen, we'll cross the LA Harbor on the Gerald Desmond and Vincent Thomas Bridges for a brief visit to the Maritime Museum of San Pedro. You'll love the storied history of the LA Harbor, Terminal Island and its tuna fishing industry. Heading down the coast on PCH, we'll stop for brief walking tour on the Huntington Pier, one of the longest on the West Coast. You'll learn how early boosters used the world's most famous surfers to promote the City. Enjoy an included ice cream treat at Handel's.
TOUR DEPARTS FROM LAGUNA BEACH SCHOOL DISTRICT PARKING LOT 550 BLUMONT ST. (across from high school) AND LAGUNA HILLS MALL (24001 Av. de la Carolota)
